This policy explains what information Friend Test collects, how it is used, and the choices players have when using the site.

Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including account details such as username, email address, password hash, avatar selections, support tickets, library packs, public pack submissions, moderation reports, and purchase-related data. We also store room and gameplay state needed to run live matches, including player names, answers, guesses, scores, chat messages, and room settings.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate the game, create and secure accounts, process purchases, deliver email verification and password reset messages, publish and moderate community packs, respond to help requests, analyze gameplay trends such as skipped questions, and protect the site from abuse, fraud, and spam.
Payments and Email
Payments are processed through Stripe. Friend Test does not store full payment card details. Email verification and password reset messages are sent through Resend. Those providers process information only to complete the services they provide to us.
Storage and Technical Data
Friend Test stores account, community, support, and purchase information in our application database. We also use browser storage such as local storage and session storage to remember things like sign-in state, theme, room sessions, and audio preferences. Basic server logs and operational data may also be collected to keep the site running and troubleshoot issues.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only when needed to run Friend Test, such as with hosting, database, payment, email, and analytics/service providers, or when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect users, the site, or the public.
Community Packs and User Content
If you publish a pack publicly, its title, description, questions, creator name, and related community stats can be shown to other users. Reported content may be reviewed by moderators. If you import a public pack into your library, that action may be counted for analytics and community ranking purposes.
Your Choices
You can choose whether to create an account, publish community packs, or make purchases. You can also contact us through the Help page if you need account support, want to report a problem, or have questions about your information. The cookie banner also lets you choose whether optional analytics or ads can be used if those features are added later.
Children and Changes
Friend Test is not intended for unlawful or abusive use, and we may update this policy as the site evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
